Admission and Retention
Academic entrance requirements vary with the status of the prospective student and the program in which he desires to enroll. The College reserves the right not to accept any applicant whose qualifications do not meet the standard requirements of the program he desires to enroll.New Students. New students are high school graduates enrolling in college for the first time.At the time of enrollment, a new student must submit his high school report card (form 138) duly certified by the Principal and a copy of a good moral certificate.Students who may wish to enroll in Bachelor in Secondary Education (BSed) must first pass an admission test. This is administered by the Dean of Education on any day and at any time within the enrollment period but with proper arrangement with the Office.Transfer students. Transfer students are those who wish to enroll in the college after having been enrolled in any college course at another institution.At the time of enrollment a transferee must submit the following credentials:
- An honorable dismissal from the school last attended.
- An informative copy of his transcript of records which should include the descriptive title of the subjects taken, the number of units, and the grades earned.
- A certificate of good moral character
A permit-to-study is needed if the student intends to enroll for summer only.A transferee, to be admitted to the College of Education, should pass the Admission Test.Continuing Students. Continuing students are those previously enrolled in the College either in the immediately preceding semester or after having stopped without enrolling elsewhere.Bachelor of Science in Accountancy students shall be allowed to enroll in the higher Accounting subjects only upon proof of having obtained a grade equivalent in Accounting 2 of 2.5 or higher.EnrollmentEvery prospective student must enroll during the prescribed enrollment period. Detailed instructions on enrollment procedures re posted during enrollment time. No enrollment is possible without the necessary credentials.Enrollment by Proxy is not AllowedConsidered a bonafide student of the College is one who is duly enrolled, that is, one who has submitted his valid credentials, has attended classes, and has paid his fees or made arrangements for payment with the Accounting Section.Changing subjects. During the enrollment period, a student may change subjects or curriculum with the approval of the Dean. CHANGES ARE NOT PERMITTED AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE OFFICIAL ENROLLMENT PERIOD.Withdrawal from subjects and curricula. Students may officially withdraw frm subjects even after the close f the enrollment period upon recommendation of the Dean and with the approval of the Registrar. Withdrawal from subjects after the preliminary examination will not be approved.Approval for the withdrawal will not be given in the following cases:If the accumulated number of absences from class make up 20% of the officially scheduled number of classes.If the student does not have a written permission to withdraw from his parents or guardianSince failure to withdraw officially when a student stops attending classes results in a grade of DR (dropped), students who are contemplating to withdraw should consult the Dean/Registrar concerning withdrawal procedure.Dropping from class. A student is automatically dropped (DR) when he makes six (6) consecutive absences on classes
